In 2027, we're taking the conversation to Brighton.

Hosted in the iconic Brighton Dome, CircularBuild 2027 combines an inspiring architectural setting with a programme dedicated to the future of adaptive reuse and retrofit, circular materials and circular economy. Located within Brighton's historic Royal Pavilion Estate, Brighton Dome is a remarkable example of how heritage buildings can be successfully adapted for modern use. Following a major restoration and refurbishment led by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, the venue has become a benchmark for sensitive retrofit—preserving its historic character while delivering the performance, accessibility and flexibility expected of a world-class events space.

Its credentials make it a fitting home for CircularBuild. In 2024, the Brighton Dome redevelopment was shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit & Reuse Awards in the Conservation & Historic Buildings category, recognising the project's outstanding approach to conserving and adapting a nationally important building for the future.

The project also demonstrates many of the principles at the heart of CircularBuild. Rather than replacing the existing buildings, the design team prioritised retention, repair and adaptation—reducing embodied carbon while improving operational performance through measures including enhanced thermal performance, natural ventilation, LED lighting, heat recovery systems and responsibly sourced materials.

Hosting CircularBuild in Brighton Dome is therefore more than a venue choice—it's an opportunity to experience one of the UK's leading retrofit projects first-hand, in a city recognised for its thriving architecture, design and sustainability community.

Travelling

By train (Recommended)

We encourage all delegates to travel by rail wherever possible. Brighton is served by frequent direct services from London Victoria, London Bridge, Blackfriars, St Pancras International, Gatwick Airport and destinations across the South East.

Journey time to venue: 10–15 minute walk from Brighton Station.

Train travel is the lowest-carbon option for most delegates and supports our shared commitment to reducing the environmental impact of the event.

By bike

For those arriving by train, we recommend Beryl Bikes, Brighton & Hove's public bike hire scheme. Bikes are available immediately outside Brighton Station, with docking locations across the city centre, including close to Brighton Dome.

Journey time to venue: approx. 5 minutes from Brighton Station

A great way to see the city while avoiding traffic.

By car

Parking in Brighton city centre is limited and can be expensive, so we recommend public transport wherever possible. If you do need to drive, the nearest public car parks are:

  • NCP Theatre - 3 min walk to venue

  • The Lanes Car Park - 9 min walk to venue

Walking

Brighton Dome is an easy walk from the station, taking you through the historic Lanes and Cultural Quarter, past independent cafés, shops and public spaces.

  • Brighton Seafront – 10 minutes
